A modern horizontal-picket steel railing on a low concrete wall

Railing that fits your property.

Designed to fit your property, your style and your standards. From clean modern looks to fully custom picket designs, every piece is precision-built for strength, safety and appearance.

Five ways we build a rail, and one of them is however you like.

Each of these is drawn here at 36 in, the standard residential guard height. Change any of it in the builder and the drawing follows.

Basic

2″ posts · 1 × 1½″ rectangular tube frame

The workhorse. Clean vertical pickets in a rectangular tube frame. Nothing to catch, nothing to fail.

Double top & bottom rail

Pickets held between paired rails

Pickets sit between a doubled top and bottom rail. Reads heavier from the street and stiffens a long run.

Welded wire

Welded wire infill · short pickets · double top rail

A short picket band under the doubled top rail, and welded mesh filling the panel below it. Keeps dogs and toddlers in without closing off the view.

36″6′-0″ O.C.2″ postcore-drilled

Horizontal picket

1½″ square tube frame

Rails run flat instead of upright. The modern option, and the one that suits a low-slung house.

Custom picket

Decorative picket in a standard frame

Pick the picket. Everything from a plain square bar to a full basket-and-cage.

Seven picket patterns, from a plain square bar to a full basket and cage.

Pick the picket and the rest of the rail stays exactly as you set it. Every one of these is drawn to the same scale so you can compare them honestly.
